1. Using this site
You are welcome to read, link to and quote this site. You may not copy its photography or text wholesale for commercial use without asking.
2. What the site tells you
We describe the watch as accurately as we can. Specifications are provisional until confirmed in writing at the point of order, and photography is lit to show the object clearly rather than to flatter it. Colour on a screen is not colour in the hand.
3. Orders
An enquiry is not an order, and an order is not accepted until we confirm it in writing. If we cannot fulfil an order we will say so and refund anything already paid.
4. Price and payment
Price is given on application, confirmed in writing, and held for the period stated in that confirmation. Taxes and duties depend on where the watch is going and are your responsibility unless we say otherwise. [Payment terms, deposit and currency to be inserted.]
5. Delivery
Two to five working days within Kenya from confirmed order. If that slips we will tell you as soon as we know, rather than at the end. [Shipping regions, carrier and insurance terms to be inserted.]
6. Cancelling
Because each watch is assembled to order, cancellation terms depend on how far assembly has progressed. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected by anything on this page. [Statutory cancellation period for the operating jurisdiction to be inserted.]
7. Warranty
Twelve months from delivery, covering defects in materials and workmanship. It does not cover accidental damage, water ingress beyond the stated rating, or work carried out by someone else.
8. Servicing
We hold spares for the parts that wear, and will help you find a watchmaker who can service the movement. Servicing is chargeable unless it is warranty work.
9. Intellectual property
The Terry Timepiece name, the designs, the photography and the text on this site belong to us. The typefaces do not — Cormorant Garamond and Inter are used under the SIL Open Font License 1.1.
10. Liability
We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Beyond that, our liability in connection with a watch is limited to what you paid for it. [Have this clause reviewed; enforceability varies by jurisdiction.]
11. Governing law
[Governing law and the courts with jurisdiction to be inserted.]
